HEF is an experienced club and radio DJ.
On
radio he promotes the latest Garage sounds. Each and every
weeks fresh and forthcoming tracks are show cased on his show
on Subjam. Pioneering the new school sounds.
In
the clubs playing an Garage, Funky/Electro House, Club Classics,
RnB, Hip Hop and Party music. What ever it takes to keep people
happy!
Tunes
like "Double 99 - RIP Groove"
started my interest in Speed Garage as it was then. A compilation
album "Speed Garage Anthems vol 1" came out and
I was hooked.
From
an early age I was listening to Garage on Pirate Stations
like Mission 90.6 FM with the Heartless Crew every Sunday
night.
As I got older I started going out clubbing to places like
Sweet Harmony @ Eros Enfield with DJ's like EZ and Norris
"The Boss" Windross which was my first experience
of a proper UK Garage Promotion and the Gass Club in Leicester
Square.
After
my brother bought some decks I started buying records when
a friend from school opened up a record shop, SHooSH records
in Waltham Cross, Herts.
It
took along time for me to get my own decks but when I eventually
got a cheap pair of belt drives there was no turning back.
I saved up a bought some Vestax PDX2000's.
I spent the next few years practicing and building up a collection
of records.
In
2004 I got an opportunity to hit the airwaves on Sub-Jam 104.7FM.
This started my career and from this I got a monthly residency
at REWIND @ Faces Night Club, Hoddesdon alongside Matt "Jam"
Lamont, CKP, Mr Buzzhard, Shoosh, Simon T, Enzo and Craze.
I
have also played at a number of Events such as Reminisce,
Lords of the Underground, 100% Old Skool,Past 2 Present, Urban
Exposure, Clubjam, Feedback, Rewind, Intimacy, Naughty 'N
Nice amonst others. I have been booked for amongst others:
Scala - Kings cross, Eros - Enfield, Opera House - Tottenham,
Rudolphs - Tottenham, Aquarium - Old Street, Faces - Hoddesdon,
CM20s - Harlow, Quattroz - Harlow, Bar Envy - Barnet, Kandi
